SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harry F. Kranz of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on January 5, 2017 at the age of 95; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harry Kranz was born in Chicago to Frank and
6Teresa (Miskiewicz) Kranz on September 19, 1921; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Harry Kranz was a veteran of the United States
8Army, serving for three and a half years during World War II;
9he served on the Pacific Islands and in the Philippines; he was
10also a member of the occupation troops in Japan; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Harry Kranz worked as a butcher for various
12businesses for many years; he had been a member of the Knights
13of Columbus since 1946; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Harry Kranz was preceded in death by his parents;
15and his siblings, Chester Kranz and Wanda Mazure; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Harry Kranz is survived by his wife, Marcella
17(Pachucki) Kranz; his children, Richard (Carol) Kranz, Judy
18(John) Mehan, and Cynthia (Justin) Barr; his grandchildren,
19Jessica and Jeffrey Mehan, Allison (Abadir Ibrahim), Ashley,
20and Elise Kranz, and Christopher, Andrea, and Kimberly Barr;

1his great-grandchildren, Samantha, James, and Chandler; his
2great-great-grandchild, Kaden; and his brother, Edmund (Lois)
3Kranz; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Harry F. Kranz, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Harry Kranz as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
