AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3062




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3062 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and 
5Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is 
6amended  by adding Section 2310-341 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 2310/2310-341 new)
8    Sec. 2310-341. Bone marrow registry inquiry; information. 
9Because information about bone marrow donation and 
10registration, such as "Be the Match", is important to encourage 
11donations, the Department shall develop and disseminate 
12information regarding a bone marrow registry, including, but 
13not limited to, the following:
14        (1) the need for bone marrow donations;
15        (2) patient populations that would benefit from bone 
16    marrow donations;

1        (3) how to join a bone marrow registry; and
2        (4) how to acquire a free buccal swab kit from a bone 
3    marrow registry.
4The information under this Section may be disseminated in 
5print, electronically, or in any other manner determined by the 
6Department.".
