| 2 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 3 | Contractors Association is observing its 125th
anniversary of | ||||||
| 4 | service to the plumbing, heating, and cooling industry in the | ||||||
| 5 | State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 7 | Contractors Association has, during this significantly
long | ||||||
| 8 | period of service, continually promoted and encouraged higher | ||||||
| 9 | standards and ethical practices in
order to provide better | ||||||
| 10 | service to the public; it has encouraged and aided the passage | ||||||
| 11 | and enforcement of
modern scientific and practical ordinances | ||||||
| 12 | and laws relating to plumbing and drainage installation in the
| ||||||
| 13 | interest of public health and modern sanitation, as well as | ||||||
| 14 | encouraged water conservation; and it has carried
on a | ||||||
| 15 | continuous program of education of members of the craft in the | ||||||
| 16 | principles of good sanitation
standards so as to benefit the | ||||||
| 17 | citizens of the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 19 | Contractors Association is a statewide trade association | ||||||
| 20 | representing plumbing, heating, cooling,
piping, and | ||||||
| 21 | refrigeration contractors throughout Illinois; these | ||||||
| 22 | contractors range from a one-man shop
to those employing over | ||||||
| 23 | 100 people; it has always been active in the legislative and
| ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | regulatory arenas, especially when it comes to promoting and | ||||||
| 2 | protecting the Illinois Plumbing License
Law and the Illinois | ||||||
| 3 | Plumbing Code; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 5 | Contractors Association has made notable
contributions beyond | ||||||
| 6 | measure to the advancement of modern water distribution, | ||||||
| 7 | sanitary disposal, and
healthful installation of water | ||||||
| 8 | connected appliances in the great State of Illinois during the | ||||||
| 9 | 125 years in
which it has been in existence; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 11 | Contractors Association, by its contributions to the
| ||||||
| 12 | advancement of mankind, has been unique in the history of trade | ||||||
| 13 | association work in that it has, at all
times, taken into | ||||||
| 14 | consideration the public health, water conservation, and | ||||||
| 15 | sanitation requirements of
the public at large, and has molded | ||||||
| 16 | these public requirements into its promotions and activities | ||||||
| 17 | through
the years; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 19 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 20 | extend our very best wishes and
congratulations to the officers | ||||||
| 21 | and members of the Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling | ||||||
| 22 | Contractors
Association on the occasion of its 125th | ||||||
| 23 | Anniversary; and be it further | ||||||

| 1 | RESOLVED, That we join in expressing the sincere wish that | ||||||
| 2 | the Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling
Contractors | ||||||
| 3 | Association may continue to be a force for the development of | ||||||
| 4 | good public health and
sanitation practices in the years to | ||||||
| 5 | come; and be it further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the President and Executive Director
of the | ||||||
| 8 | Illinois Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association.
