HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Linda
4Cheri Threatt, who passed away on January 23, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was born in Chicago to Macio and
6Betty Dunson on November 29, 1953; she attended Guggenheim
7Elementary School, Bond Upper Grade Center, and Calumet High
8School; she earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from
9Chicago State University and married Reginald Latrell Threatt
10on August 9, 1975; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Linda Threatt began her career at St. Francis
12Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, where she worked as a
13nursing assistant; she then worked as an accounting manager at
14Chicago Lake Shore and at Professional Home Care Advantage as
15an office manager; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was affectionately known as Lyn, 41,
17Boo, Boo Boo Love, Little Rita, Big Lyn, and Auntie; she was a
18member of St. James AME Church; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Linda Threatt was preceded in death by her father,
20Macio; and

1    WHEREAS, Linda Threatt is survived by her husband, Reggie;
2her mother, Betty; her sisters, Sharmaine (Ben) White, Lorna
3(Henry) Smith, Marcia (Kenny) Smith, Tina Gilbert, Tonya
4Carter, and Stephanie Carter; her brother, Macio Jr. (Yvonne);
5her brothers-in-law, Sherman Threatt, Tyrone (Debra) Threatt,
6and Chavez (Desiree) Threatt; and a host of nieces, nephews,
7god-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
10HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of Linda Cheri Threatt, and extend our
12sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved her; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Linda Threatt as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
