SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
305 ILCS 5/12-4.51 new

    Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that subject to federal approval, no person who is an undocumented immigrant shall qualify for any benefits or assistance provided under the Code, including, but not limited to, any benefits or assistance provided under the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the Child Care Assistance Program, the Children's Health Insurance Program, the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, and the medical assistance program. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning public aid.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5adding Section 12-4.51 as follows:
 
6    (305 ILCS 5/12-4.51 new)
7    Sec. 12-4.51. Undocumented immigrants. Subject to federal
8approval, no person who is an undocumented immigrant shall
9qualify for any benefits or assistance provided under this
10Code, including, but not limited to, any benefits or assistance
11provided under the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
12Program, the Child Care Assistance Program, the Children's
13Health Insurance Program, the Covering ALL KIDS Health
14Insurance program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
15program, and the medical assistance program.
 
16    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17becoming law.
