Biography: Elected Senate Republican Leader (January 2021- January 2023); appointed to the Illinois Senate in 2016; supports policies that promote job growth, encourage smaller and smarter government, and root out corruption; championed legislation to reduce property taxes, ensure visitation rights for patients in hospitals and nursing homes, protect sexual assault victims, increase government transparency, provide for a non-partisan redistricting process, and empower voters to take a more active role in their state government. Energy consultant with Verde Solutions; served nine years in the Army National Guard in the infantry and military police; lives in Hawthorn Woods; married (Milena); two daughters.
