SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Eric R. Pickell of Wonder Lake, who passed away on December 2, 2016, at the age of 69; and

WHEREAS, Eric Pickell was born in Chicago to Edward L. and Mary E. (Kendsfater) Pickell on November 28, 1947; he married the love of his life, Laura J. Becker, at Shepard of the Hill Church in McHenry on November 20, 1993; he proudly served in the United States Air Force; and

WHEREAS, Eric Pickell was an active member and volunteer for Wonder Lake Bible Church; he enjoyed working with computers and was devoted to his family; and

WHEREAS, Eric Pickell was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roger Pickell; and his father-in-law, Arthur Baker; and

WHEREAS, Eric Pickell is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Laura; his daughters, Georgegina Herron and Erica Dollyhigh; his grandchildren, Michael, Robert, and Anna; his sisters, Donna Edwards and Janet Caccamo; his mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Baker; his aunt, Dorothy Bailey; his uncles, Mike Miller and Don Bailey; his cousin, George Bailey; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Eric R. Pickell, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Pickell as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
