SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Darrel L. Meininger, who passed away on 
4December 7, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Darrel Meininger was born in Alton to Leroy and 
6Kathryn (Yearian) Meininger on January 23, 1949; he served in 
7the United States Navy and married Linda Schmidt in Bethalto on 
8July 11, 1973; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Darrel Meininger was employed at Olin as a 
10machinist for 30 years prior to his retirement; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Darrel Meininger was a member of Zion Lutheran 
12Church in Bethalto; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Darrel Meininger was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his sister, Carolyn; and his niece, Julie; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Darrel Meininger is survived by his wife, Linda; 
16his  daughter, Dawn Thornton; his son, Jason Meininger; his 
17grandchildren, Caitlyn and Rylee Thornton; his  brothers and 
18sisters-in-law, Steve and Jan Meininger, and Jerry and Dolly 
19Meininger; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family 
20and friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Darrel L. Meininger, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved Darrel L. 
5Meininger; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Darrel Meininger as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
