2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Agnes M. Hess of Woodstock, who passed |
4 | | away on August 30, 2016; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was born on July 25, 1931; her parents |
6 | | were Martin and Cordella Obenauf; she married Robert E. Hess on |
7 | | October 24, 1953 in Huntley; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was a longtime member of St. Mary |
9 | | Catholic Church in Woodstock, where she was very active in |
10 | | Bible Study Groups and the Prayer Group; she also attended the |
11 | | Woodstock Assembly of God Church; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Agnes Hess enjoyed spending time with her |
13 | | grandchildren and great-grandchildren and sharing her famous |
14 | | homemade chocolate chip cookies with them; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Agnes Hess was preceded in death by her parents; |
16 | | her husband, Robert; and a brother, Martin Obenauf; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Agnes Hess is survived by her children, Pat |
18 | | (Terry) Menzel, Jean (Jim) Mackel, Joan (Bill) Jarvis, Bob |
19 | | Hess, Peggy Hess, Dan (Janette) Hess, Carol (Chuck) Vitellaro, |
20 | | Don (Allison) Hess, Lois (Jeff) Gates, Jim (Stacey) Hess, Janet |

11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Agnes M. Hess; and be |
14 | | it further

15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
16 | | presented to the family of Agnes Hess as an expression of our |
17 | | sympathy.
