SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Rita Catherine Beadling, who passed away 
4on September 1, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was born on February 24, 1921; her 
6parents were Joseph and Elizabeth Rivelli; she married Harry H. 
7Beadling on November 29, 1945, in San Diego, California; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Rita Beadling worked as the Retail Buyer for 
9children's apparel at the Globe Store, where she worked from 
101967 until her retirement in 1987; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was an avid Chicago White Sox, 
12Bulls, and Bears fan and liked to pass the time watching 
13Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune; she also enjoyed using her 
14smartphone, tablet, and laptop and spending time with her 
15grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Rita Beadling was preceded in death by her 
17husband, Harry, and her siblings, Dennis, Joe, Betty, Patsy, 
18and Claire; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Rita Beadling is survived by her children, 
20Charlotte, Hal, Tommy, and Harriet (Tim); six grandchildren;

1eight great-grandchildren; her brothers Jimmy, Jackie, Tommy, 
2and Billy; and her sister, Chi Chi; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of Rita Catherine 
6Beadling; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Rita Beadling as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
