SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Frank E. Hewitt of Peoria, who passed 
4away on August 15, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Hewitt was born in Peoria to Frank and Nancy 
6(Embree) Hewitt on February 1, 1939; he graduated from Peoria 
7Central High School in 1957; he earned his Bachelor of Science 
8in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and his Master 
9of Science in Engineering Management from Bradley University; 
10he married Cathy Hartwig in Peoria on October 7, 1977; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Hewitt worked as the City Engineer for the 
12City of Peoria for 42 years, retiring in 2008; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Hewitt served as the President of the Board 
14of Local Improvements; he was an avid Bradley basketball fan; 
15he enjoyed participating in dog shows showing and breeding St. 
16Bernards and was President of the St. Bernard Club of Greater 
17St. Louis; and
  
 
  
18    WHEREAS, Frank Hewitt is survived by his wife, Cathy; his 
19children, Lisa Hewitt, David (Michelle) Hewitt, Caryn Kamp, and 
20Kyle Hewitt;  and his grandchildren, Skylar Hewitt and Cohlson 
21Kamp; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Frank E. Hewitt, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Frank Hewitt as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
