SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jeffrey Robert Miller of Arlington 
4Heights, who passed away on August 1, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller was born in Palos Park to Robert 
6and Kathy Miller; he attended Sandburg High School and  
7graduated with a business degree from the University of 
8Illinois in 1987; he went on to earn a Master of Business 
9Administration from Indiana University; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller was a third-generation owner of the 
11family retail hardware business; he evolved it into an 
12industrial supply mainstay in the greater O'Hare area; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller held numerous community volunteer 
14roles, including President of the Prospect High School Athletic 
15Booster Club; he coached youth football, basketball, baseball, 
16and softball; he was a diehard Chicago Bears and Illini fan and 
17held legendary tailgates; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller's face lit up when he talked about 
19his kids and their accomplishments; he loved being a dad and he 
20was their Superman; and

1    WHEREAS, Jeffrey Miller is survived by his children, Grant, 
2Lauren, and Ben; his wife of 21 years, Michelle; his parents; 
3his sisters, Sally (Jeff) Schumann and Linda (Dan) Walther; and 
4numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Jeffrey Robert Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to 
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  Jeffrey Miller as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
