SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of H. Rita Beltzhoover of Joliet, who passed
4away on August 8, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover was born to Czechoslovakian
6immigrants, Mike and Mary Ruscin, in West Frankfort on December
79, 1933; she married Edward Beltzhoover on August 28, 1954; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover worked as a day care provider and
9cared for many children in her home for over 30 years; she was
10a dedicated volunteer at St. Raymond's Church, Joliet Central
11High School, and St. Francis Academy; and
 
12    WHEREAS, In 1994, at 61 years of age, Rita Beltzhoover
13earned her Associate Degree in Child Development; she enjoyed
14family vacations to Cocoa Beach, Florida and RV trips to Alaska
15with her husband and friends; she cherished the time she spent
16with her children and grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover was preceded in death by her
18husband, Edward, and her parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Rita Beltzhoover is survived by her children,
20Dirk, Marianne, Eric (Laurie), Carolyn (David) Johanson,

1Christine, Alex (Janet), and Gretchen (Rolf) Troha; her
2grandchildren, Jon Beltzhoover, Ryan and Rachel Beltzhoover,
3Chris, Matt, Tim, and Sara Johanson, Samantha Greben, Conner
4Klinger, Elizabeth Beltzhoover, Madeline, Luke, and Erik and
5Ingrid Troha; and her siblings, Margaret McDonald, John Ruscin,
6Alice Johnston, and Mary Ruscin; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9H. Rita Beltzhoover, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Rita Beltzhoover as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
