2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Ruth Wagner of Marengo, who passed away |
4 | | on July 17, 2016; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Ruth Wagner was born on October 20, 1917 in Riley |
6 | | Township; her parents were William and Iva French; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, After growing up on many farms in northern |
8 | | Illinois and living in several states, Ruth Wagner finally |
9 | | returned to her beloved Marengo in 1948, where she resided ever |
10 | | since; she worked at McGill's and Arnold Engineering before |
11 | | becoming an Avon lady, for which she is best known; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Ruth Wagner was an active member of the Veterans |
13 | | of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a faithful member of the Marengo |
14 | | United Methodist Church; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Ruth Wagner was preceded in death by her first |
16 | | husband, Donald Locke, and her second husband, LaVerne Wagner; |
17 | | and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Ruth Wagner is survived by her children, John |
19 | | (Antje) Locke and Judith (Nolan) Bradford; her grandchildren, |
20 | | Jane Rensinger, Nancy Ridenour, David Locke, and Scott Miller; |
