SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sheldon (Tell) Bauer of McHenry, who 
4passed away on June 14, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sheldon Bauer was born in Chicago to Walter and 
6Sigrid (Green) Bauer on October 23, 1923; he served as an 
7aircraft mechanic in the United States Army Air Force during 
8World War II in England, France, Belgium, and Germany; he 
9married Annelise Christensen at the Danish Lutheran Church in 
10Chicago on July 18, 1947; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Sheldon Bauer was self-employed as a Landscape 
12Designer and Contractor for many years; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, Sheldon Bauer was preceded in death by his 
14parents; two brothers; and two sisters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Sheldon Bauer is survived by his wife of 68 years, 
16Annelise; his children, Paul (Susan) Bauer, Karen (James) 
17Lafontaine, and Bruce Bauer; his grandchildren, Mark (Kathy) 
18Bauer, Erik (Pam) Bauer, Denise (Chad) Stinger, Lisa (Peter) 
19McCall, Amy (Mike) Wisniewski, and Matthew (Amanda) Bauer; 15 
20great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Sheldon (Tell) Bauer, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Sheldon Bauer as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
