SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Francis X. Gavin, who passed away at the 
4age of 90; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin served in the United States Army Air 
6Corps during World War II; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin retired as a Lieutenant from the 
8Chicago Fire Department; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin was a longtime member of the Ted 
10Knusman AMVET Post #13; and

  
 
11    WHEREAS, Francis Gavin was the beloved husband of the late 
12Anna Marie (Brennan); the devoted father of Patricia (Kenneth) 
13Hoffmann, Terrence, William (Catherine), James, and the late 
14Timothy; the loving grandfather of Kenneth, Margaret (David), 
15Andrew, Jennifer, Timothy, William, Tara, Kaitlyn, Erin, and 
16Patrick; the loving son of the late William and Margaret  
17(Browne); the cherished brother of the late William, Thomas, 
18James, Walter, John, and Theresa Vranek; and the dear cousin, 
19uncle, and in-law to many; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Francis X. Gavin, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Francis Gavin as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
