SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dale S. O'Connor of Silvis, who passed 
4away on May 19, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale O'Connor was born on May 15, 1950 in Sault 
6Ste. Marie, Michigan; his parents were Bernard and Carol 
7Hillock O'Connor; he married Mary Ann Hicks on December 13, 
81969 in Erie; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dale O'Connor was a United States Navy veteran, 
10having served in Vietnam aboard the USS Mount Hood; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Dale O'Connor worked for Carpenter Union Local 166 
12in Rock Island for many years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dale O'Connor was preceded in death by his 
14brother, Dennis; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dale O'Connor is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; 
16his children, Shelly (Trent) Heath, Shannon (Michael) 
17Peterson, and Shiloh (Brandy) O'Connor; his six grandchildren; 
18his two step-grandchildren; his mother, Carol O'Connor; his 
19sister, Diane (Bernie) Paholke; his brothers, Don (Lynne) 
20O'Connor and Alan O'Connor; and his sister-in-law, Jenny

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Dale S. O'Connor; and 
5be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Dale O'Connor as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
