|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Anita Sue McMahon, who passed away on May |
4 | | 19, 2016 at the age of 75; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon was born on December 11, 1940 in |
6 | | Elgin; her parents were Herman and Neva Mass; she married |
7 | | Daniel Dennis McMahon on August 20, 1960; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon was a lifelong resident of the area |
9 | | and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee; |
10 | | and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon attended Elgin Community College |
12 | | and earned an Associate of Applied Science and became a |
13 | | Registered Nurse; she continued her studies at the University |
14 | | of St. Francis, earning a Bachelor of Science degree; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon worked as a Registered Nurse for 26 |
16 | | years; she was also the Childbirth Educator and a mother and |
17 | | baby nurse at the Family Birthing Center at Sherman Hospital; |
18 | | in her retirement, she was an avid quilter and painter; and |
19 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon was preceded in death by her parents |
20 | | and her husband, Daniel; and

1 | | WHEREAS, Anita McMahon is survived by her children, Daniel |
2 | | E. (Kathi) McMahon, Patrick J. McMahon, Christine A. (Russell) |
3 | | King, Joseph H. (Teresa) McMahon, and Susanne M. (Kevin) |
4 | | Johnston; her grandchildren, Quinn, Chase, Shaine, Merritt, |
5 | | Cassie, Maddie, Carter, Mollie, Connor, Andrew, Nathan, Anna, |
6 | | Brittany, Kyle, and Nicholas; her brother, Edward (Wanda) Mass; |
7 | | her sister, Melinda Mass; her sister-in-law, Marilyn (Stan) |
8 | | McDonald; and many nephews, nieces, and friends; therefore, be |
9 | | it
|
10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
12 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Anita Sue McMahon; and |
13 | | be it further

14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
15 | | presented to the family of Anita McMahon as an expression of |
16 | | our sympathy.
