SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Robert J. "Rob" McConnaughay, who passed 
4away on April 13, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was born on August 20, 1955 in 
6Geneva; his parents were Glenn and Mary McConnaughay; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was a 1973 graduate of Geneva 
8High School; he later received his bachelor's degree from 
9Western Illinois University; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was employed for many years in 
11sales in the beverage industry; he was also a longtime member 
12of the Kane County Board; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay enjoyed fishing and was an 
14avid sports fan; he also enjoyed spending time with his family 
15and friends; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay was preceded in death by his 
17mother and his great-niece, Alessa; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert McConnaughay is survived by his father; his 
19sisters, Glenda (Dennis) Heinkel, Pat (Tim) Nelson, and LeeAnn

1(Lee) Molitor; his dear friend, Gayle Doporcyk; his special 
2cousin, Mark McConnaughay; and many nieces, nephews, and 
3friends; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Robert J. "Rob" 
7McConnaughay; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Robert McConnaughay as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
