2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Ann Selof of Johnsburg, who passed away |
4 | | on February 12, 2016; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof was born on October 27, 1934 in Chicago; |
6 | | her parents were Irene and Edward White; she married William |
7 | | "Bill" Selof on October 6, 1956 at St. Aloysius Church in |
8 | | Chicago; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof was employed as an administrative |
10 | | assistant by Johnsburg School District 12 from 1970 to 1980; |
11 | | she continued her employment working as a personal banker for |
12 | | Home State Bank from 1980 to 1991, when she retired; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof was a member of St. John the Baptist |
14 | | Catholic Church in Johnsburg for over 50 years; and |
15 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and |
16 | | playing cards, especially Pinochle; she was also an avid reader |
17 | | and enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her friends |
18 | | and family; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof is preceded in death by her husband, |
20 | | William "Bill" Selof; her mother and stepfather, Irene and Andy |

1 | | Tucker; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, William and Ethel |
2 | | Selof; and her son-in-law, Kenneth Gibbs; and

3 | | WHEREAS, Ann Selof is survived by her children, Nora Gibbs, |
4 | | Dennis Selof, Scott (Lori) Selof, Gary (Tracy) Selof, and Tom |
5 | | (Julie) Selof; her grandchildren, Kristy (Nick) Chorostecki, |
6 | | Jimmy Gibbs, Becky (Barry) Drew, Jennifer Gibbs, Nathan |
7 | | (Maggie) Selof, Madisyn, Bryce, Mykenzie, Shelly, Karen, |
8 | | Matthew, Kelly, Melaina, Saffire, and Lexy Selof, Louis Porter, |
9 | | Derek (Brittany) Sloan, and Sara and Jake Heeline; her |
10 | | great-grandchildren, Emile, Morgan, Jimmy, Jackson, Max, |
11 | | Izabel, Charlotte, Lucas, Austin, Griffin, Autumn, and George; |
12 | | her siblings; and her brothers-in-law, Everett (Donna) Selof |
13 | | and Richard Selof; therefore, be it

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
16 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Ann Selof; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Ann Selof as an expression of our |
20 | | sympathy.
