|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Lyndal L. Herschelman of Carlinville, who |
4 | | passed away on January 19, 2016; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman was born in Litchfield to |
6 | | Harold and Lora Lee (nee Corlew) Herschelman on July 2, 1942; |
7 | | he graduated from Carlinville High School in 1960 and married |
8 | | Mary Rosentreter in Carlinville at Ss. Mary & Joseph Catholic |
9 | | Church on July 29, 1961; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman worked for AT&T for 13 years |
11 | | before returning to Carlinville to help run the family farm; he |
12 | | retired in 2012 from Drew Ford in Gillespie after working for |
13 | | several area car dealerships; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman was a member of Ss. Mary and |
15 | | Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville and the Carlinville Elk's |
16 | | Lodge #1412, where he served as the Exalted Ruler in 1984 and |
17 | | District Governor in 1992; he served as the Chairman of the |
18 | | Elk's National Foundation and bowled on the Elk's bowling |
19 | | league, participating in several State and national bowling |
20 | | tournaments; he also served as a board member on the Macoupin |
21 | | County Board; and |

1 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman enjoyed relaxing and spending |
2 | | time at the Lake of the Ozarks with his family; and
|
3 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman was preceded in death by his |
4 | | parents; his daughter, Amy Herschelman; his grandson, Nicholas |
5 | | Groves; and his brother, Harry Herschelman; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Lyndal Herschelman is survived by his wife of 54 |
7 | | years, Mary; his son, Steve Herschelman; his daughter, Kathy |
8 | | (Bill) Groves; his 4 grandchildren, Jennifer (Don) Allison, |
9 | | Cody Kay, Marcus Herschelman, and Austin Groves; his 2 |
10 | | great-grandchildren; his brother, Fred (Phyllis) Herschelman; |
11 | | his sister-in-law, Mary Herschelman; and several nieces and |
12 | | nephews; therefore, be it

13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
15 | | Lyndal L. Herschelman, and extend our sincere condolences to |
16 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
17 | | further

18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
19 | | presented to the family of Lyndal Herschelman as an expression |
20 | | of our deepest sympathy.
