| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Rodney J. Yurkovich of Saint David, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 27, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich was born on February 21, 1950 in |
| 6 | | Canton; his parents were Joseph and Eleanor (nee Williams) |
| 7 | | Yurkovich; he married Kathleen "Kathy" Burchett on March 8, |
| 8 | | 1969; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich retired from Caterpillar after |
| 10 | | 36 years of service; he also retired from Kroger after 25 years |
| 11 | | of service; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich was an active member of his |
| 13 | | community; he coached little league baseball in Saint David for |
| 14 | | over 20 years and was a member of the Saint David Optimist Club |
| 15 | | for many years; he also served on the Village of Saint David |
| 16 | | Board, the Saint David Elementary School Board, and the |
| 17 | | Lewistown District 97 School Board; his special project was for |
| 18 | | special needs children; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich was a lifelong member of Saint |
| 20 | | Michael's Catholic Church in Saint David; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich enjoyed spending time with his |
| 2 | | family, vacationing in Branson, Missouri, and going to his |
| 3 | | grandchildren's activities; and

| 4 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich was preceded in death by his |
| 5 | | father and his brother, Daniel V. (Becky) Yurkovich; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Rodney Yurkovich is survived by his wife, Kathy; |
| 7 | | his mother; his children, Joseph "Jody" (Bobbi) Yurkovich, Ryan |
| 8 | | (Heidi) Yurkovich, and Tricia (Mike) Keithley; his |
| 9 | | grandchildren, Paige Yurkovich, Kate Yurkovich, Vanessa |
| 10 | | Yurkovich, Logan Yurkovich, Griffin Yurkovich, Addison |
| 11 | | Yurkovich, Dalton Yurkovich, Austin Weaver, Caleb Keithley, |
| 12 | | Lily Keithley, Anisa (Keithley) Johnson, Arisa (Keithley) |
| 13 | | Orwig, and Grace Evans; his sister, Kim (Randy) Motsinger; his |
| 14 | | nephews, Kurt Motsinger, Kyle Motsinger, Shawn Yurkovich, and |
| 15 | | Todd Yurkovich; and his best friend, Terry Davis; therefore, be |
| 16 | | it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
| 19 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Rodney J. Yurkovich; |
| 20 | | and be it further
