SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Vernon L. Booton of Milan, who passed
4away on December 6, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton was born on May 22, 1924 in
6Galesburg; his parents were Charles and Callie Booton; he
7married Eileen Hodson on June 30, 1945 in Milan; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton was employed at Eagle Food Centers
9in Milan as an accountant for 31 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton served his country as a member of
11the United States Navy; he served in the European Theatre
12aboard the USS LST-287 and also served in the Pacific Theatre;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton enjoyed spending time with his
15family, his weekly cribbage game with his brother-in-law,
16golfing, and bowling; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton was preceded in death by his wife,
18Eileen; his son-in-law, Keith Schneckloth; and his brothers,
19Harry, William, Gale, and Harold Booton; and

1    WHEREAS, Vernon Booton is survived by his daughters, Vicki
2Babinski and Debbie Schneckloth; his grandchildren, Jeff
3(Tricia) Babinski, Michael Babinski, and Brian (Sophia)
4Schneckloth; and his great-grandchildren, Brooke and Gabrielle
5Babinski and Yianna, Jordan, and Alexander Schneckloth;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Vernon L. Booton; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Vernon Booton as an expression of
13our sympathy.
