SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Antoine D. "Tony" Haddad of Peoria, who 
4passed away on December 5, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Tony Haddad was born on May 12, 1937 in Lebanon; 
6his parents were Dikran and Marie (nee Sabou) Haddad; he 
7married Loreece Manna on February 6, 1956; he emigrated from 
8Lebanon to the United States in 1977 with his wife, his 
9children, and his mother-in-law; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Tony Haddad, along with his wife,  was the owner 
11and operator of Haddad's Restaurant on Main Street; he also ran 
12a pushcart outside of the Peoria County Courthouse; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Tony Haddad was preceded in death by his parents; 
14his sons, Elias and Sharbel Haddad; his brother, Jack; and his 
15sisters, Josephine and Harriet; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Tony Haddad is survived by his wife, Loreece; his 
17children, John (Jill) Haddad, Marie Batrouni, Gabe (Nidal) 
18Haddad, Joseph (Giselle) Haddad, Nicola (Shirley) Haddad, and 
19Rita (Andrew) Speck; his 18 grandchildren; and his 5 
20great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his  
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Antoine D. "Tony" 
4Haddad; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Tony Haddad as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
