SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John F. McGarry of Crystal Lake, who 
4passed away on November 7, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John McGarry was born in Canada on November 22, 
61932 to Frank and Anna (nee Rehuba) McGarry; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, John McGarry was a proud veteran of the United 
8States Army, where he served 20 years and achieved the rank of 
9Major; he served one year in Korea and 2 years in Vietnam; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, John McGarry enjoyed traveling and was an avid 
11lover of animals; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John McGarry was preceded in death by his parents 
13and his sister, Dorothy; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, John McGarry is survived by his wife of 52 years, 
15Diane (nee Malley); his children, Michael (Lynn), Laurie 
16(Martin), and Beverly (Michael); his grandchildren, Nicholas 
17and Kaitlin; and his step-grandchildren, Lindsey, Ashley, and  
18Kayla; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2John F. McGarry, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  John McGarry as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
