2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Marcella H. "Shippy" Filotto, who passed |
4 | | away on November 21, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Marcella Filotto was born in Lockport Township; |
6 | | her parents were William and Clara (nee Wilhelmi) Coyne; she |
7 | | married Francis Filotto on October 14, 1950 at St. Mary |
8 | | Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Marcella Filotto attended Wilson School and |
10 | | graduated from Lockport Township High School with the Class of |
11 | | 1947; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, Marcella Filotto was a former member of the |
13 | | Mother's Club at St. Andrew the Apostle School in Romeoville, |
14 | | St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, and the Will County Farm |
15 | | Bureau; and |
16 | | WHEREAS, Marcella Filotto enjoyed reading, playing bingo, |
17 | | and crossword puzzles; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Marcella Filotto was preceded in death by her |
19 | | parents; her loving husband of 27 years, Francis Filotto; her |
20 | | siblings, William (Eleanor) Coyne, Francis "Bud" (Shirley) |

9 | | Conrad (fiance, Scott Elam), Staci (Doug) Marcis, Jaclyn Conrad |
10 | | (fiance, Nicholas Pullara), and Kevin, Jennifer, and Jake |
11 | | Filotto; her great-grandchildren, Annabelle and William |
12 | | Slowinski and Benjamin Bramson; her close cousin, Shirley |
13 | | Hamrick; her dear friends, Margie Howell and Jane McClintock; |
14 | | and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Marcella H. "Shippy" |
18 | | Filotto; and be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Marcella Filotto as an expression of |
21 | | our sympathy.
