2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Wesley H. Kistler of Savoy, who passed |
4 | | away on October 31, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was born on October 16, 1924 in |
6 | | Scobey, Montana; his parents were Rev. Ernest and Mary Case |
7 | | Kistler; he married Alice Jacobs in March of 1954; they later |
8 | | divorced; he later married Jean Bradley Long on November 24, |
9 | | 1984; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler served his country as a purser in |
11 | | the United States Merchant Marine during World War II; he also |
12 | | served as a weather observer and forecaster in the United |
13 | | States Navy during the Korean War; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler retired from the United States |
15 | | Postal Service in Urbana after many years of service; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was a member of the St. Joseph |
17 | | United Methodist Church; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler enjoyed music, dancing, sailing, |
19 | | and the outdoors; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler was preceded in death by his wife, |
2 | | Jean; his brother, Dale Kistler; and his sister, Genevieve |
3 | | Arms; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Wesley Kistler is survived by his sons, Paul |
5 | | Kistler and Douglas Kistler; his daughter, Nancy Kistler; his |
6 | | stepdaughters, Jody Benitz, Wendy Mays, and Cherie Craft; his |
7 | | grandchildren, Chelsey, Courtney, Erin, and Sarah; his |
8 | | step-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Brennan, Katie, and Hayden; |
9 | | his great-grandchild, Noah; and his brother-in-law, Dean |
10 | | Bradley; therefore, be it
|
11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his |
13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Wesley H. Kistler; and |
14 | | be it further

15 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
16 | | presented to the family of Wesley Kistler as an expression of |
17 | | our sympathy.
