SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donna Jean Brookhart of Peoria, who 
4passed away on November 7, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donna Brookhart was born in Peoria on December 13, 
61938 to Robert and Irene (nee Stenger) Carroll; she graduated 
7from Brimfield High School; she received her bachelor's degree 
8from Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa and her master's 
9degree from Bradley University; she married Dr. Gerald M. 
10Brookhart on August 6, 1960; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Donna Brookhart was the Department Chair and 
12taught home economics at Illinois Valley Central High School, 
13retiring in 2001; and
  
 
  
14    WHEREAS, Donna Brookhart was preceded in death by her 
15parents and her sister, Pat Wilkinson; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Donna Brookhart is survived by her husband, 
17Gerald; her daughters, Debbie (Levi) Blair, Susan Canty,  Katie 
18(Paul) Coogan, and Tracy (Steve) Smith; her grandchildren, 
19Ryan, Erin, Charlie, and Jack Coogan, Matthew, Maddie, Ben, and 
20Timmy Canty, and Riley, Ellen, and Anna Smith; her siblings, 
21Gerald (Linda) Carroll, Betty (Bob) Gorman, and Richard

1(Caroll) Carroll; her special friend, Jacquie Berg; her 2  
2aunts; several nieces and nephews; and a host of domino, bridge 
3club, and neighborhood friends; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Donna Jean Brookhart, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Donna Brookhart as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
