SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth M. Adams of McHenry, who passed away on September 29, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams was born on March 5, 1934 in McHenry; his parents were Mathias and Dorothy (nee Bauer) Adams; he married Joyce Kurz on May 5, 1956 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams was a lifetime resident of the McHenry area; he worked on the family farm and graduated from McHenry High School in 1951; he also owned a milk route prior to his marriage; after marrying, he worked as a machinist for Kurz Machine in Round Lake; he was a retired plumber from V.J. Killian Plumbing in Winnetka and a member of the Journeymen Plumber Union Local #130; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing in upper Michigan; he also enjoyed playing Euchre and spending summers with his wife in Montello, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard (Rita) Adams and William "Bill" Adams; his sister, Dorothy Brown; his nephew, Bill; and his great-nephew, Lucas; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth Adams is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Michael (Lee Ann) Adams, David (Michelle) Adams, and Joyce (David) Fuller; his grandchildren, Crystal Allen, Jacob Adams, Kevin (Tiffany) Adams, Chanel Chadwick, and David Adams, Jr.; his great-grandson, Mathias Adams; his brothers, Daniel (Joyce) Adams and James (Joan) Adams; his sister, Nancy (Jim) Willis; and his brother-in-law, Richard Brown; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth M. Adams; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth Adams as an expression of our sympathy.
