SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Spiros J. Pappaspiros of Moline, who 
4passed away on October 3, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was born in East Moline on 
6September  15, 1933 to James and Louise Vyhnanek Mpachiakos; he 
7served in the United States Navy and married Carol J. Barr on 
8November 4, 1956 in San Diego; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was an accountant at the John 
10Deere Foundry in East Moline, retiring in 1987 after 21 years 
11of service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros enjoyed playing golf and going 
13to breakfast with his United Township High School classmates; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros was preceded in death by his 
16parents; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Spiros Pappaspiros is survived by his wife of 58 
18years, Carol; his sister-in-law, Marcia Stevenson; and several 
19nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Spiros J. Pappaspiros, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Spiros Pappaspiros as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
