| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert R. Johnson, Sr. of Moline, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 17, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson, Sr. was born in Moline on October |
| 6 | | 15, 1931 to Ralph and Martha (nee Young) Johnson; he served in |
| 7 | | the United States Army during the Korean War; he married |
| 8 | | Beverly J. Johnson on May 23, 1954 in Taylor Ridge; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson, Sr. worked at the former Bear |
| 10 | | Manufacturing in Rock Island for 28 years, retiring in 1978; |
| 11 | | and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson, Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 13 | | wife, Beverly; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Robert Johnson, Sr. is survived by his daughter, |
| 15 | | Janice (Michael) Rhoadarmer; his son, Robert Johnson, Jr.; and |
| 16 | | his grandchildren, Alex and Sam; therefore, be it
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 | | Robert R. Johnson, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 20 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
