SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Eunice I. Ashenfelter of Springfield, who 
4passed away on July 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Eunice Ashenfelter was born on May 23, 1926 in St. 
6Mary's, West Virginia; she married Leo V. Ashenfelter on August 
731, 1946; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Eunice Ashenfelter retired from J.C. Penney as 
9Assistant Manager of the Housewares Department after many years 
10of service; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Eunice Ashenfelter was a member of the First 
12Church of God; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Eunice Ashenfelter was preceded in death by her 
14parents; her husband, Leo; her daughter, Sharon Jenkins; and 
15her son-in-law, Richard Kuder; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Eunice Ashenfelter is survived by her daughters, 
17Karon (Ed) Kane and Jody Kuder; her sons, Michael (Kathy) 
18Ashenfelter, Mark (Tina) Ashenfelter, and John (Liane) 
19Ashenfelter; her 11 grandchildren; and her 14 
20great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Eunice I. Ashenfelter; 
4and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Eunice Ashenfelter as an expression 
7of our sympathy.
