|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Eugenia C. Lenert of Aurora, who passed |
4 | | away on September 5, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was born on September 27, 1923 in |
6 | | Aurora; her parents were Henry and Anna (nee Lentz) Bley; she |
7 | | married William E. Lenert, Sr. on August 30, 1947 in Aurora; |
8 | | and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert graduated from Rosary College with |
10 | | a degree in math and physics; she began her career at the SDIC |
11 | | before working as a statistician for the Chicago Tribune; she |
12 | | later taught high school math and physics for many years; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was a member of Holy Angels Church, |
14 | | where she was a member of the St. Anne Society; she was an |
15 | | original board member of Rosary High School; she also |
16 | | volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Holy |
17 | | Angels Food Pantry, Mercy Hospital, Hesed House, and many |
18 | | others; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert was preceded in death by her |
20 | | parents; her husband, William; and her son-in-law, Thomas A. |
21 | | Hurrell, Sr.; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Eugenia Lenert is survived by her children, Sharon |
2 | | (Dennis) Kripp, Sheila (Michael) Conners, William (Mary) |
3 | | Lenert, Jr., Marsha (Jeffrey) Moran, Joyce (Hal) Hindley, and |
4 | | Dianne Hurrell; her grandchildren, Colleen (Kevin) Dermody, |
5 | | Andrew (Allison) Kripp, Maura (Dave) Cannon, Brad (Katy) |
6 | | Conners, Doug (Sheena) Conners, Greg (Caroline) Conners, Katie |
7 | | (Tim) Oess, Bill (Sarah) Lenert, Mike (Katie) Lenert, J.R. |
8 | | Moran, Nick (Ali) Moran, Danielle Moran, Christy (Will) |
9 | | Hunzeker, Kyle Hindley, Tommy Hurrell, Mary Hurrell, and Sarah |
10 | | Hurrell; her 20 great-grandchildren; and her special friend and |
11 | | caregiver, Ala Bartoszewski; therefore, be it

12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
14 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugenia C. Lenert; and |
15 | | be it further

16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
17 | | presented to the family of Eugenia Lenert as an expression of |
18 | | our sympathy.
