SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Leo Callahan of Moline, who passed 
4away on August 29, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Callahan was born in Moline on August 10, 
61922 to Leo and Alice (Wiedenhoeft) Callahan; he graduated from 
7Moline High School and served in the United States Army with 
8the 42nd Infantry Division during World War II; he married Mary 
9Margaret Vickers on July 29, 1950 in Rock Island; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Callahan was employed by Deere and Company 
11for 37 years, retiring as Divisional Manager of Parts Catalogs 
12in 1982; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Callahan was a member of Holy Cross 
14Lutheran Church; he enjoyed photography; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Donald Callahan is survived by his son, Jeff 
16Callahan, and his 2 grandchildren, Tansome Barley and Donald J. 
17Callahan; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Donald Leo Callahan, and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
