SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy Ann Bunger of Ashton, who passed away on August 20, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was born in Sublette on November 21, 1929 to Claude and Mary Francis (nee Wilson) Horton; she graduated from Dixon High School in 1947 and from Northern Illinois University with her teaching certificate; she married Milford G. Bunger on September 27, 1952 in Galena; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger worked as an elementary school teacher in Rock Falls at the Thome School; she also taught at the Lincoln School in Dixon; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was a member of the Lighthouse United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women; she was also a member of the P.E.O. Chapter IU of Oregon for 63 years and a member of the Teacher's Association; she loved gardening, flowers, bird-watching, and spending her summers at Bay Lake in Minnesota; she was a former Girl Scout leader; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Susan Lynn Andreas; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bunger is survived by her husband, Milford; her children, Mike (Cindy) Bunger, Teresa Bunger, and Matt Bunger; her son-in-law, Mike Andreas; her 4 grandchildren, Bryan (Carrie) Andreas, Janna (Dan) Pettus, Brent (Jennifer) Bunger, and Brandon Bunger; her 4 great-grandchildren, Amira, Jax, Gia, and Kai; her sister, Julie (Chuck) Hage; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nancy Ann Bunger, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Bunger as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
