SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald McMullen, who passed away on 
4August 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald McMullen was born in 1945 in Detroit,

6Michigan to Leo and Dorothy McMullen; he graduated from 
7Bellevue High
School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in
1963, where 
8he was a star receiver on
the Bulldogs varsity football team; 
9he
entered the United States Air Force
in 1964 and served in 
10Vietnam; he was
discharged as a Sergeant in 1970; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald McMullen moved to Chicago following his 
12service and began
working in the food industry; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald McMullen was an active and dedicated
member 
14of the American Legion, serving as Commander from 2005 to
2010; 
15he was involved with
improving the lakes and the lives in the

16Village of Lake in the Hills; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Donald McMullen was affectionately know as "Don", 
18"Donnie", and "McPick"; and
  
 
  
19    WHEREAS, Donald McMullen is survived
by his daughters,

20Denise McMullen and
Dena (Marc) Muffoletto; his  grandchildren,

his brother, 
2David McMullen; and his ex-wife and friend, Deborah McMullen; 
3therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Donald McMullen, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to  the family of  Donald McMullen as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
