SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Dolores T. Zdon of McHenry, who passed 
4away on July 26, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was born on March 25, 1930 in 
6Chicago; her parents were Frank and Sophie (nee Jursek) Burda; 
7and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon retired from Illinois Bell Telephone 
9after 35 years of dedicated service; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was an avid fundraiser for the 
11Telephone Pioneers of America; she was well known for her love 
12of baking and her famous cheesecake; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon was preceded in death by her husband, 
14Edward Zdon, and 8 brothers and sisters; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dolores Zdon is survived by 2 sons, Walter 
16(Michelle) Zdon and Richard (Destinee) Zdon; 3 grandchildren, 
17Danielle, Mark, and Taylor; and 4 great-grandchildren, Quinn, 
18Ewan, Rhys, and Mia; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Dolores T. Zdon; and 
3be it further

5presented to the family of Dolores Zdon as an expression of our 
6sympathy.
