2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Caroline P. Barry of Woodstock, who |
4 | | passed away on July 11, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Barry was born on August 24, 1932 in |
6 | | McHenry; his parents were Frank and Kathryn (nee Behlke) Urban; |
7 | | she married Walter R. Barry on May 26, 1951 in Woodstock; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Barry lived in Woodstock for most of her |
9 | | life; she worked as a certified Dietary Manager at Hearthstone |
10 | | Manor (formerly Sunset Manor) in Woodstock for 25 years; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Barry's faith, the Free Methodist Church |
12 | | in Woodstock, and spending time with her loving family and |
13 | | friends was an important part of her life; she was also an |
14 | | amazing cake decorator and enjoyed needlework, crocheting, |
15 | | gardening, and playing cards; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Caroline Barry was preceded in death by her |
17 | | parents; her loving husband of 64 years, Walter; a son, Donald |
18 | | Barry; a son-in-law, Rob Cook; a great-grandson, Ethan Mackay; |
19 | | a great-granddaughter, Zoe Rae Grasley; and 2 sisters, |
20 | | Katherine Zimmerman and Lucille Westphal; and

4 | | Adam (Michelle) Cook, Jessica (Matt) Greget, Marc (Brooke) |
5 | | Grasley, Andrea Grasley, Andrew and Alex Barry, Shannon |
6 | | (Robert) Diamond, Brett (Sandy) Fredrick, and Phillip |
7 | | Fredrick; 2 step-grandchildren, Jaclyn (Sean) Hodges and Jesse |
8 | | Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Zachary, Colin, and |
9 | | Sara Grasley, Paige Mackay, Owen Greget, Isabella Cook, Alexis |

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Caroline P. Barry; and |
18 | | be it further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of Caroline Barry as an expression of |
21 | | our sympathy.
