SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Donald Andries, who passed away on July 
48, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Andries was born in Chicago and grew up in 
6Park Ridge; he graduated from St. George High School in 
7Evanston and received a bachelor's degree from the Marquette 
8University College of Journalism in Milwaukee, with additional 
9studies at Northeastern University in Chicago; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Donald Andries worked for several years on trade 
11magazines and community newspapers, including a period as 
12sports editor of the Deerfield Review; in 1973, he opened his 
13own public relations agency, serving several clients in the 
14educational, not-for-profit, hospitality, and retail fields; 
15and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Donald Andries was the beloved husband of Dorothy 
17Delacoma Andries; the dear father of Daniel (Anne Northrup), 
18the late Donald Joseph (Mary), David (Paula), and Darrill 
19(Cheryl Mollicone); the grandfather of 10 grandchildren; the 
20son of Gabriel and Helen Andries; and the brother of Gabrielle 
21Andries and the late Denise Langan; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Donald Andries; and be 
4it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Donald Andries as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
