SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Raymond Cornelius Williams, who passed 
4away on May 12, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Williams was born on January 17, 1955 in 
6Chicago; his parents were Eugene and Susie Williams; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Raymond Williams attended and graduated from 
8Chicago Public Schools; he worked at UPS and several other 
9jobs; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Raymond Williams was preceded in death by his 
11wife, Lucille; his parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Steve; 2 
12brothers-in-law, Benjamin Smith and Lott Cherry; 2 nieces, 
13Cheryl Morris and Valerie Smith; and a nephew, Kevin Neal; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Raymond Williams is survived by 3 children, Eugene 
15(Rachel), Christopher, and Jennifer; 2 sisters, Hattie and 
16Estella; 2 brothers, Eugene (Darcelle) and Michael; 7 
17grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Raymond Cornelius 
2Williams; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Raymond Williams as an expression of
