SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert A. Walsh of Woodstock, who passed 
4away on June 5, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Walsh was born in Chicago on April 16, 1935 
6to Bernard and Maria (nee Antonucci) Walsh; he married Verlene 
7Kane on May 12, 1956 in Chicago; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Walsh was the owner and CEO of the North 
9States Steel Corporation for 44 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Walsh was an avid boater on Lake Geneva; 
11and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Walsh was preceded in death by his wife, 
13Verlene; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Walsh is survived by his children, Jeannine 
15Giacomino, Robert (Tamie) Walsh, and Sandra (Bart) Myers, and 
16his grandchildren, Alexis, Kelton, Haylee, Kyle, Katie, 
17Isabelle, and Reid; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Robert A. Walsh, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
