SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William T. "Bill" Eichen of Carlinville,
4who passed away on April 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was born in Carlinville on May 4, 1928
6to William Christopher and Bessie Mae (nee Greenwalt) Eichen;
7he attended Carlinville schools and later married Mary E. "Pud"
8Rhoads on July 25, 1948 in Plainview; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was a supervisor in the mold
10department at Owens Illinois in Alton from 1950 to 1989; he
11then worked for the Bates Motor Company in Carlinville from
121989 to 2008; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was a member of the Plainview Masonic
14Lodge, Plainview Eastern Star, and the Carlinville Moose Lodge
15#1216; he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved
16spending time with his family and grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Eichen was preceded in death by his wife,
18Mary; his parents; his grandson, Gary Kanllakan; his brothers,
19Raymond and Wesley Eugene Eichen; his sisters, Pauline
20Rosentreter and Mary Rose Graham; and his son-in-law, John
21Gentry; and

1    WHEREAS, Bill Eichen is survived by his 2 daughters, Janet
2(Ken) Harding and Marsha Gentry; his granddaughter, Shelley
3Ashlock; his 2 grandsons, Greg (Wendy) Kanllakan and Brad
4(Nicole) Stults; his 6 great-granddaughters; his sister,
5Dorothy "Mae" Bristow; his brother-in-law, Don (Judy) Rhoads;
6as well as several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9William T. "Bill" Eichen, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bill Eichen as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
