SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Janette Weatherall, who passed away on
4May 11, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was born in St. Louis, Missouri
6on April 19, 1954 to Jim and Doris Weatherall; and
 
7    WHEREAS, In 1989, Janette Weatherall relocated to
8Springfield to pursue an employment opportunity with AFSCME
9Local 2000; in 1993, her career as a lobbyist began with the
10Illinois Education Association, where she served 20 years
11before retiring in 2013; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was very passionate about
13serving in her church (Cathedral of Praise), health, education,
14and spending time with her family; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall was preceded in death by her
16parents; her brother; and her sister; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Janette Weatherall is survived by her daughter,
18Fatina (Juan) Conway; her 5 sisters, Annie (Eddie) Jumper, Mary
19Helen Walker, Minnie McLemore, Christine (Arthur) Francis, and
20Myra (Mark) Hunter; her brother, Sylvester (Aletha)

1Weatherall; her uncle, Herbert (Mary Frances) Weatherall; her 8
2grandchildren, Janee (Brandon) O'Bryant, Isaiah Conway,
3Jeremiah Conway, Darryn Conway, Damon Conway, Danae Conway,
4Danielle Conway, and Daniel Conway; her 2 great-grandchildren,
5Serenity and Christian O'Bryant; her god-son, Casey Collier;
6her best friend, Lonnie Grant; and a host of nephews, nieces,
7and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jeanette Weatherall, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Janette Weatherall as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
