SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Elvira Elmore Charles, who passed away on 
4May 8, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Elvira Charles was born on March 29, 1930 in 
6Coraopolis, Pennsylvania; her parents were Charles Jennings 
7Bryan and Julia Woods Elmore; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Elvira Charles graduated from St. Catherine's 
9Academy; she subsequently attended the Kentucky College of 
10Business; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Elvira Charles was preceded in death by her 
12parents; her siblings, John and Joseph Elmore and Julia 
13Hamburg; and her daughter, Julie Woods Charles; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Elvira Charles is survived by her son, John 
15Charles, and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, 
16be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Elvira Elmore Charles; 
20and be it further
