SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Ella Bernice Rowden, who passed away on 
4March 1, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ella Bernice Rowden was born on December 17, 1918 
6in Beardstown; her parents were John and Mae Doerr; she married 
7Stanley P. Rowden in July of 1944; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ella Bernice Rowden was a lifelong member of the 
9Twelfth Street Presbyterian Church in Alton; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Ella Bernice Rowden was preceded in death by her 
11husband, Stanley, and a daughter, Barbara Sherwood; and

  
 
12    WHEREAS, Ella Bernice Rowden is survived by 2 daughters, 
13Judith Kemlitz and Elizabeth (Stephen) Jankowski; 4 
14grandchildren, Melissa (David) Guion, Alison (Dr. Josh 
15Feinberg) Kemlitz, Benjamin (Dr. Gwen) Jankowski, and Dr. 
16Natasha Jankowski; 5 great-grandchildren, Holly Guion, Zachary 
17and Zoe Feinberg, Nadia Jankowski, and Walker 
18Jankowski-Chapman; her nieces and nephews; and 2 
19sisters-in-law; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Ella Bernice Rowden; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Ella Bernice Rowden as an expression 
6of our sympathy.
