SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Kenneth W. Larsen, who passed away on 
4April 19, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was born on January 17, 1937 in 
6Waukegan; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen served his country as a member of 
8the United States Army Reserve; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen attended the Illinois Institute of 
10Technology; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was the owner and operator of 
12Larsen Marine Service, working side by side with 4 generations 
13of family for over 50 years; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was a member of the First United 
15Methodist Church; he was also a lifetime member and past 
16commodore of the Waukegan Yacht Club and served as Waukegan 
17Harbor Master for 25 years; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was an avid traveler and boater; he 
19also enjoyed his winters in Florida with his family and

1friends; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen was preceded in death by his wife 
3of 50 years, Gail; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Kenneth Larsen is survived by a son, Douglas (Lori 
5Ann) Larsen; 2 daughters, Kathy (Tom) Sivia and Lori (Sam) 
6Grabarski; 6 grandchildren, Danielle (Nate) Daley, Kristina 
7(David) Tisdale, William and Erin Sivia, and Katelyn and Sam 
8Grabarski; 3 great-grandchildren, Leland and Heart Tisdale and 
9Lux Daley; a brother, Jerry Larsen; and many nieces and 
10nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth W. Larsen; and 
14be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to the family of Kenneth Larsen as an expression of 
17our sympathy.
