SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  David Brehm of Sharon, Wisconsin, who 
4passed away on December 14, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David Brehm was born on March 31, 1948 in 
6Marshfield, Wisconsin; his parents were Otto Alfred and 
7Marjorie (nee Hamilton) Brehm; he married Barbara Emmer on 
8September 16, 1978; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, David Brehm served his country as a member of the 
10United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, David Brehm served as a postal clerk at the 
12Harvard Post Office for many years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, David Brehm was a member of the Harvard Moose 
14Lodge and the Sportsman's Club; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, David Brehm was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay 
16Packers fan; he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and 
17feeding and watching birds; and
 
18    WHEREAS, David Brehm was preceded in death by his parents 
19and a sister, Shirley Foster; and

1    WHEREAS, David Brehm is survived by 3 children, Richard 
2Brehm, Eric (Jamie) Brehm, and Carly (Mike) Matthews; the 
3mother of his children, Barbara Brehm; 2 grandchildren, Ellie 
4Brehm and Samuel Brehm; and 3 sisters, Ilene Phillips, Roberta 
5Schneider, and Iris Bandt; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
8family and friends, mourn the passing of David Brehm; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of David Brehm as an expression of our 
12sympathy.
