2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Lillian Ellen Braidwood, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on February 11, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood was born on November 30, 1914 to | ||||||
6 | Carl and Anna Kristina Blanner; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood's favorite accomplishment was | ||||||
8 | during World War II when she became the first woman clerk for | ||||||
9 | McHenry Township; she was an active member of the McHenry | ||||||
10 | Legion Post 491 Auxiliary; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood enjoyed her volunteer work as a | ||||||
12 | Pink Lady and for Sheltered Village; she was a supporter of the | ||||||
13 | arts; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood was preceded in death by her | ||||||
15 | parents; her 2 husbands, Robert James Conway, I and Henry F. | ||||||
16 | Braidwood; her daughter, Rita Ann Weyland; her son, Robert | ||||||
17 | James Conway, II; her great-grandson, Johnny Weyland; her | ||||||
18 | son-in-law, John Viktor Svalander; her siblings, Carl Blanner, | ||||||
19 | II, Stella Calbow, Allen (Millie) Blanner, Helen (Ralph) | ||||||
20 | Magnuson, and Vernon Blanner; her brother-in-law, Thomas | ||||||
21 | Spantideas; and sisters-in-law, Maxine Blanner, Beryl Blanner, |

13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
14 | Lillian Ellen Braidwood, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
15 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
