| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Lezlie Kay Randall of Tilton, who passed |
| 4 | | away on March 18, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall was born on August 17, 1958 in |
| 6 | | Danville; her parents were Herbert W. Randall, Elizabeth (nee |
| 7 | | Butler), and Bill Learnard; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall graduated magna cum laude from |
| 9 | | Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in |
| 10 | | English; she also graduated from the University of Illinois |
| 11 | | with honors, earning her Masters of Education degree with a |
| 12 | | major in educational and organizational leadership; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall was an English teacher at Catlin |
| 14 | | High School for 18 years; she also served at various other |
| 15 | | schools within the county for many years; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall had a passion for teaching and |
| 17 | | enjoyed all of the kids she was able to influence; she also |
| 18 | | worked very hard on the Catlin and Jamaica school |
| 19 | | consolidation; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall loved reading, art, conversation; |
|

| 1 | | she also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her |
| 2 | | grandkids, and her students; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall was preceded in death by her |
| 4 | | father, Herbert W. Randall, and a daughter, Megan Elizabeth |
| 5 | | McMillin; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Lezlie Randall is survived by 3 children, Andrew |
| 7 | | (Amy) McMillin, Kenton (Toni Kasprowicz) McMillin, and Grace |
| 8 | | (Ross) Wilson; 3 siblings, Robin (Mike) Fetters, Troy (Julie) |
| 9 | | Randall, and Damon Randall; a special stepbrother, Scott |
| 10 | | (Kathy) Learnard; 4 step-siblings, Mark (Lori) Learnard, Clark |
| 11 | | Learnard, Beth (Tom) Dekker, and Blaine Bensyl; 2 |
| 12 | | grandchildren, Kai and Mallie Kate McMillin; 4 nieces and |
| 13 | | nephews, Abigail Elizabeth (Tyler) Gutteridge, Zach Randall, |
| 14 | | Samantha Randall, and Damarah Randall; and many close friends; |
| 15 | | therefore, be it

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 18 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Lezlie Kay Randall; |
| 19 | | and be it further
|
| 20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 | | presented to the family of Lezlie Randall as an expression of |
| 22 | | our sympathy.
