SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  John F. "Johnny Walker" Walker of 
4McHenry, who passed away on January 15, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Walker was born on May 17, 1934 in Wheaton; 
6his parents were Edward T. and Hannah E. (nee Reid) Walker; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, John Walker served his country as a member of the 
8United States Army during the Korean War; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, John Walker was a longtime resident of Glenview; 
10he was employed with School District #34 in Glenview for over 
1130 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John Walker enjoyed spending summers in the Racine 
13area and spent his winters in LaBelle, Florida; he also enjoyed 
14spending time with his family, tinkering and fixing things, and 
15sailing; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, John Walker was preceded in death by his parents; 
17a brother, Ed; and a sister, Barbara; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Walker is survived by 2 children, Denise 
19(Patrick) Hanrahan and John Walker; 2 grandchildren, Amanda and

1Steven; and a sister, Dr. Sally Simpson-Walker; therefore, be 
2it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
5family and friends, mourn the passing of John F. "Johnny 
6Walker" Walker; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of John Walker as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
